You have a solid experience in CrossFit and you master complex movements as well as heavy lifts. You regularly complete WODs in RX and feel comfortable with high volumes and strict standards. If you’re looking to push your limits against athletes of the same caliber and test your preparation on demanding workouts, the RX category is made for you. Here, there are no compromises: you face the WODs as they are programmed, with all the required weights and skills, to demonstrate the full extent of your performance.

If you recognize yourself in this description, then the INTERMEDIATE category is made for you! It’s the perfect place to continue challenging yourself while progressing towards a more advanced level, competing alongside athletes with the same goal.
The prerequisites* for the INTERMEDIATE category are as follows:

Some complex movements or heavy weights are not yet on your program, but you’re looking to progress, improve your technique, and enjoy WODs suited to your level. The SCALED category is ideal for you! Whether you are a beginner or an athlete who wants to develop at your own pace, this category allows you to challenge yourself while participating in an accessible competition alongside other enthusiasts who share the same mindset of progression.
The prerequisites* for the SCALED category are as follows:

RX
You have accumulated years of experience in CrossFit and continue to push your limits, even as time goes by. The Master category is specially designed for athletes aged 35 and over, divided into two subcategories: 35-39 years and 40 years and older (To be eligible for participation, athletes must meet the age requirement within the year 2025). In this category, you tackle the WODs with the same intensity and rigor as younger categories, but adapted to your level of experience and current abilities. No matter what, you are ready to rise to the challenge and show that years of training pay off. The competition is tough, but you are here to dominate in your age category, with all the passion and perseverance that have brought you this far.

TEENS
New in 2025!
The TEEN category is making its debut for the first time at the Polynesian Battle Games, and it’s a major first for competitions in Polynesia!
This category is open to young athletes aged 14 to 16 and requires no prior qualification, giving everyone a chance to participate.
Please note that spots in this category are limited to 10 boys. Selection will be on a first-come, first-served basis, so don’t wait to sign up to secure your place in this exciting event!
The competition will take place over a single day (date to be confirmed), during which participants will face several challenges designed to test their strength, endurance, and technique.
This is the perfect opportunity for the next generation of Polynesian CrossFitters to prove they’re ready to take on high-level challenges and prepare to enter elite categories in the coming years!

Can I register in different categories?
Yes, an athlete can register in multiple categories, including both individual and team categories. If the athlete wishes to register in multiple individual categories, they must create multiple accounts with different email addresses. The same applies for multiple team categories. Each registration will be validated upon payment of the corresponding fees. If the athlete qualifies in several categories, they will have to choose only one to participate in the Main Event.
If an athlete is not qualified in INDIV, can they still register for the TEAM qualifications?
How do you verify the scores of athletes in the qualifications?
How do I choose my category?
I do not live in Polynesia, but I still wish to participate in the qualifications.
I am qualified, but I cannot attend the Main Event. What should I do?
Once qualification is confirmed, what happens next?
I am registered for the Main Event but can no longer participate.
Can I register for the Team category without having a confirmed partner yet?
Yes, it is absolutely possible to register without having a confirmed partner. However, the information regarding your partner and scores will need to be submitted before the end of the Team qualifications.
Can I register for the Team category with a partner who is not in the same box, on the same island, or in the same country?
Yes, the scores for both athletes will be recorded separately. Team members are not required to complete the WODs together.
What happens if my category is canceled? How can I ensure my registration for the qualifications?
We will inform you as soon as possible if your category is canceled. To guarantee your participation, we recommend registering in another category at the same time.
